When you stay connected to your root, you will be well rooted. This piece is one of my series art titled "The Root". It shows how lines and shapes are connected just like roots are to the tree. It reminds me of how my ancestors used hairstyles to map out escape routes from slavery. This piece can be hung in eight (8) different ways.
